Pepoloji's supporters rose to their feet, but Davut Aköz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mahir İzhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the game, Davut Aköz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pepoloji's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sirkeci the free kick. Sirkeci's Mahir İzhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Rıfat Aktaş in the 11th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Mehmet Emre Cesur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sirkeci and the Pepoloji players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sirkeci's Mehmet Emre Cesur got a free kick in the 12th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Müjdat Ongay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özbek Şentürk couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Rıfat Aktaş who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Mahir İzhan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Rıfat Aktaş in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mahir İzhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pepoloji were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
