Mahir İzhan came out of the goal and Abdulbaki Niğdeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuralp Merdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Mehmet Emre Cesur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Müjdat Ongay during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Sirkeci were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdulbaki Niğdeli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Abdulbaki Niğdeli notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sirkeci's Mahir İzhan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuralp Merdan in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mahir İzhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
