Tuna Ongunalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sadettin Talat kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Tuna Ongunalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lütfü Başesgioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Tuna Ongunalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Memduh Osmanlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lütfü Başesgioğlu in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tuna Ongunalp saved fenerbahce from getting behind. In the 30th minute Lütfü Başesgioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuna Ongunalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lütfü Başesgioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Akgün Baler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the fenerbahce defense, Arif Memduh Osmanlı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tuna Ongunalp. The fenerbahce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tuna Ongunalp should have stopped the shot. Akgün Baler hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Lütfü Başesgioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arif Memduh Osmanlı was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Cihanbeyli SK's Arif Memduh Osmanlı made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tuna Ongunalp was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Memduh Osmanlı in the 69th minute of play forced fenerbahce's goalkeeper Tuna Ongunalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lütfü Başesgioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Lütfü Başesgioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cihanbeyli SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lütfü Başesgioğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, İlhami Eracar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cihanbeyli SK's supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami Eracar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tuna Ongunalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Arif Memduh Osmanlı came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Cihanbeyli SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Memduh Osmanlı couldn't finish the play. Lütfü Başesgioğlus short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Tuna Ongunalp to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lütfü Başesgioğlu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Tuna Ongunalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cihanbeyli SK. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arif Memduh Osmanlı in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tuna Ongunalp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Akgün Baler was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 91st minute, Akgün Baler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lütfü Başesgioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. fenerbahce's Tuna Ongunalp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save fenerbahce from getting a goal against them. Cihanbeyli SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
