In the 3rd minute, Adem Sarphan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Halil Merih. The goal made the score 1-0. Abdulmelik Özger charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdulmelik Özger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Abdulmelik Özger got a free kick in the 7th minute. Adem Sarphan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Merih having to interfere. Halil Merih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necat Ekber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trabzonspor's Halil Merih proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor from getting a goal against them. Adem Sarphan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Merih having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Necat Ekber got free with Halil Merih in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trabzonspor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Adem Sarphan scored to the left of an out of position Halil Merih, making the score, 2-0. Ediz Kura kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Mirkelam Sadir's late challenge caught a Trabzonspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mirkelam Sadir helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Oran:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trabzonspor:s goal.

Adem Sarphan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Halil Merih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oran's Ediz Kura got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Halil Merih didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Necat Ekber went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute of the match Gani Taşer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mustafa Birol Erokay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Trabzonspor's Gani Taşer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oran. After having played for 86 minutes, Ataol Namık managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ataol Namık was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Bedih Tanbolat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Bedih Tanbolat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Birol Erokay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bedih Tanbolat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baki Taylak's late challenge caught a Oran's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baki Taylak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baki Taylak to maneuver through the defense. Adem Sarphan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Abdulmelik Özger was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. Abdulmelik Özger kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Trabzonspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
