Yalçın Öğeturk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutay Vefakar, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 10th minute Enver Hiçsönmez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şadi Okyar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Doğuhan Usman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şadi Okyar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Güner Balatekins short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Yalçın Öğeturk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 35 played minutes Düzici got a freekick which was hit by Meriç Muammer. After 38 played minutes Düzici got a freekick which was hit by Meriç Muammer. Sungurbey Canbulat kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Şadi Okyar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Usman in the 45th minute of play. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Enver Hiçsönmez sped through AYDINSPOR 1966's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Şadi Okyar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kutay Vefakar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Şadi Okyar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Usman in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enver Hiçsönmez got free with Şadi Okyar in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doğuhan Usman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Enver Hiçsönmez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Şadi Okyar, passed just outside the right post. Şadi Okyar made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Enver Hiçsönmez sent off a good shot on target. Şadi Okyar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Usman in the 70th minute of play. Enver Hiçsönmez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Şadi Okyar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğuhan Usman in the 73rd minute of play forced AYDINSPOR 1966's goalkeeper Şadi Okyar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enver Hiçsönmez struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Şadi Okyar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Düzici. Hurşit Duran hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Güner Balatekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, AYDINSPOR 1966's goalkeeper Şadi Okyar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enver Hiçsönmez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enver Hiçsönmez got free with Şadi Okyar in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Düzici's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
