Bilgehan Yeğin came out of the goal and Sabri Özerdem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kutalp Yazargil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Mustafa Ekrem Kutsal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kutalp Yazargil. KS Şimşekspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mustafa Ekrem Kutsal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş.'s Bilgehan Yeğin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş. from getting a goal against them. When Sabri Özerdem came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the KS Şimşekspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabri Özerdem couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Işık Akçam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bilgehan Yeğin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bilgehan Yeğin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Işık Akçam's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The referee ignored Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş.'s protests and gave Bora Han Niyaz a yellow card for diving instead. Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Işık Akçam scored to the left of an out of position Bilgehan Yeğin, making the score, 1-2. Işık Akçam struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Bilgehan Yeğin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS Şimşekspor. If Işık Akçam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Işık Akçam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bilgehan Yeğin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Işık Akçam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Sabri Özerdem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Şimşekspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabri Özerdem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tahir Çoğun charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tahir Çoğun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, one of KS Şimşekspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KS Şimşekspor. In the 83rd minute, Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş. got a penalty, and Mümtaz Tunçtürk placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The supporters of KS Şimşekspor booed when Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tansel Toköz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Atletik Mekikspor A.Ş. got a freekick which was hit by Bora Han Niyaz. If Işık Akçam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Sabri Özerdem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see KS Şimşekspor lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
