But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İrfan Nezihi couldn't finish the play. matrax's Atakan Eskici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Orhan Deren in the 10th minute of play. İrfan Nezihi might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Orhan Bahçıvan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İrfan Nezihi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute, Tarkan Özdilmaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, matrax's Tarkan Özdilmaç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Orhan Bahçıvan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Jupiyampi's Cankut Kutlay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atakan Eskici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 55 played minutes matrax got a freekick which was hit by Erdinç Poyraz. In the 60th minute, Tarkan Özdilmaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atakan Eskici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cankut Kutlay in the 63rd minute of the match. If İrfan Nezihi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, matrax's Atakan Eskici got control of the ball when Ali Orhan Deren tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, matrax's goalkeeper Atakan Eskici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Orhan Deren.
