After having played for 11 minutes, Necip Fazıl Erensoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzurum FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Necip Fazıl Erensoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Necip Fazıl Erensoy came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Erzurum FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Necip Fazıl Erensoy couldn't finish the play. Altay Özcam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Necip Fazıl Erensoy in the 18th minute of play. Galip Cezri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Altay Özcam when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Necip Fazıl Erensoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altay Özcam having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Galip Cezri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 47th minute Alperen Pektaşi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakan Vatansever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elazığ SK's Altay Özcam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necip Fazıl Erensoy in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alperen Pektaşi to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erenay Toktaş got free with Hakan Vatansever in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Altay Özcam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Galip Cezri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gürkan Tardu fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elazığ SK's protests and gave Gürkan Tardu a yellow card for diving instead. If Alperen Pektaşi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Galip Cezri came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Erzurum FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Galip Cezri couldn't finish the play. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Galip Cezri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Altay Özcam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Erzurum FK's Necip Fazıl Erensoy in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elazığ SK's goalie prevented a goal. Erzurum FK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
