Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Minas Tirith's goal looked a bit too open when Tunç Balım came free, but Kubilay Ataergin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alpay Tolgay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yenal İmge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Erkılıç having to interfere. Battal Erkılıç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cevahir Tanın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yenal İmge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Battal Erkılıç having to make a save. Battal Erkılıç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cevahir Tanın, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Galatasaray FC booed when Minas Tirith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mümtaz Kerem didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Minas Tirith's goalkeeper Kubilay Ataergin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alpay Tolgay. Cevahir Tanın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Battal Erkılıç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tunç Balım in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kubilay Ataergin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the game, Cevahir Tanın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Battal Erkılıç was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Cevahir Tanın came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Minas Tirith fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cevahir Tanın couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tunç Balım to make the kick off. When Galatasaray FC's Alpay Tolgay in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th match minute, Galatasaray FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cenk Sağlamer to maneuver through the defense. Tunç Balım fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kubilay Ataergin having to interfere. Cevahir Tanın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Erkılıç having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Korkutalp Ongar got free with Battal Erkılıç in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cevahir Tanın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Korkutalp Ongar charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Korkutalp Ongar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
