Mesut Ergalip showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Adanademirspor's Bedrettin Dündar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazil Hanedan in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Kıvanç Tura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the game, Çaykur Rizespor's Mahmut Yoruk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bedrettin Dündar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Çaykur Rizespor's Saruhan Mert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Çaykur Rizespor from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute of the match, Özmen Ilıcan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Saruhan Mert was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alparslan Taluy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. Bedrettin Dündar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mahmut Yoruk in the 31st minute of the match. Saruhan Mert was a little too slow when Mesut Ergalip got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. Özmen Ilıcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saruhan Mert having to interfere. Yağızalp Tanbay kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Saruhan Mert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Özmen Ilıcan in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mesut Ergalip to make the kick off. Çaykur Rizespor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adanademirspor the free kick. After 62 played minutes Çaykur Rizespor got a freekick which was hit by Şeref Kırdar. After 64 played minutes Adanademirspor got a freekick which was hit by Kutlu Kadıoğlu. Saruhan Mert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özmen Ilıcan in the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özmen Ilıcan in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saruhan Mert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 93 minutes, Mesut Ergalip managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adanademirspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mesut Ergalip was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saruhan Mert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mesut Ergalip, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
