The crowd rose to their feet as Hikmet Yücesoy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulu Ersoy. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Özalp's zone, Hikmet Yücesoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulu Ersoy came out of the goal and Hikmet Yücesoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulu Ersoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökalp Suhan in the 54th minute of the match. Ulu Ersoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hikmet Yücesoy's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After 57 minutes, Hazım Durualp mouthed his way into the referee's book. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Altintas had played much better football throughout.
