The supporters of GALATASARAY S.K booed when Besikdüzü SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atıf Kutlug didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vatan Rezzak struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Gökcan Ceyhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A collision led to GALATASARAY S.K getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Abuzer Sebil hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes Agah Sertaçgil rounded GALATASARAY S.K's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Besikdüzü SK's Gökcan Ceyhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necati Kaynak in the 45th minute of play. If Agah Sertaçgil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agah Sertaçgil to make the kick off. Besikdüzü SK's Gökcan Ceyhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Besikdüzü SK from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Vatan Rezzak dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gökcan Ceyhan, 1-2. Orhan Seyfi Soysaldı charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 87 minutes, Vatan Rezzak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY S.K's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vatan Rezzak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Çelikan Coşan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Necati Kaynak's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Gökcan Ceyhan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Besikdüzü SK had won after a very even match.
