Mert spor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KING of MONKEYS the free kick. The supporters of KING of MONKEYS booed when Mert spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaffar Özgurel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Mustafa Birol Altınpınar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Esat Çelen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hamit Sayhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 94th minute Ali Galip Öztanır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esat Çelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
