Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hüseyin Turan Rafi started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, WhitePyramid's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Turan Rafi came free, but Fethi Onsal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, WhitePyramid's Hayri Özak got a free kick in the 18th minute. Alican Talaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fethi Onsal. WhitePyramid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. WhitePyramid's Fethi Onsal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save WhitePyramid from getting a goal against them. WhitePyramid's Fethi Onsal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Turan Rafi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind WhitePyramid's goalkeeper Fethi Onsal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fethi Onsal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Abdi Saygın Üner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, WhitePyramid's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hüseyin Turan Rafi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Mardin United defense, Hayri Özak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamit Kurhan. The Mardin United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamit Kurhan should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After having played for 52 minutes, Zikri Reşat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mardin United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zikri Reşat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute Hüseyin Turan Rafi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fethi Onsal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mardin United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hakkı Kenan Sıratullah hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mardin United's Hakkı Kenan Sıratullah got a free kick in the 58th minute. Saadettin Kanber struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Hamit Kurhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WhitePyramid. Zikri Reşat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fethi Onsal having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüseyin Turan Rafi in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fethi Onsal saved WhitePyramid from getting behind. Hüseyin Turan Rafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fethi Onsal having to interfere. WhitePyramid's Fethi Onsal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Turan Rafi in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Hüseyin Turan Rafi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fethi Onsal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Fethi Onsal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zikri Reşat in the 80th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Hayri Özak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WhitePyramid and the Mardin United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mardin United's attack was well implemented in the 82nd minute, but when Hüseyin Turan Rafi was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 84th match minute, Mardin United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdi Saygın Üner to maneuver through the defense. Hüseyin Turan Rafi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fethi Onsal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mardin United's Hamit Kurhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zühtü Özercan in the 97th minute of play. WhitePyramid's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
