Songurhan Urza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vatan Rezzak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY S.K's zone, Keramettin Bir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ardahan Kadirsah came out of the goal and Keramettin Bir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ardahan Kadirsah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arın Ayazoğlu in the 17th minute of the match. Vatan Rezzak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Songurhan Urza having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Necati Kaynak in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Songurhan Urza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Necati Kaynak came free, but Songurhan Urza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İbrahim Türkdoğan hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Necati Kaynak in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Songurhan Urza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arın Ayazoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Abuzer Sebil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Songurhan Urza. The goal made the score 1-2. Sergen Seyban hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. fenerbahçe's Atakan Başesgi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for GALATASARAY S.K. Vatan Rezzak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
