The supporters of GÖZTEPE A.Ş booed when Korkmazcity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ecevit Orbay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rıza Uluç might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akgün Sanih. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rıza Uluç ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Neşat Barbaros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Akgün Sanih. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. In the 12th match minute, GÖZTEPE A.Ş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedih Özdeğer to maneuver through the defense. After 16 minutes of play, GÖZTEPE A.Ş's Sabri Vacip made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adnan Emekli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rıza Uluç had several of the GÖZTEPE A.Ş's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Akgün Sanih as he didn't even see the shot coming. İlhan Ayıkoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adnan Emekli having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Polat Adsoy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GÖZTEPE A.Ş's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Korkmazcity the free kick. A collision led to GÖZTEPE A.Ş getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Polat Adsoy hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Rıza Uluç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rıza Uluç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Akgün Sanih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neşat Barbaros in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neşat Barbaros in the 33rd minute of play forced GÖZTEPE A.Ş's goalkeeper Akgün Sanih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rıza Uluç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akgün Sanih stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neşat Barbaros's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Sabri Vacip's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Adnan Emekli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rıza Uluç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akgün Sanih having to interfere. Derman Çağa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Akgün Sanih showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neşat Barbaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rıza Uluç in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akgün Sanih prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Korkmazcity's Rıza Uluç got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rıza Uluç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Korkmazcity's supporters rose to their feet, but Rıza Uluç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akgün Sanih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Neşat Barbaros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes, Korkmazcity's Suat Ongunsu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akgün Sanih came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Korkmazcity reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Neşat Barbaros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Korkmazcity's supporters rose to their feet, but Neşat Barbaros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Rıza Uluç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akgün Sanih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neşat Barbaros in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neşat Barbaros in the 94th minute of play forced GÖZTEPE A.Ş's goalkeeper Akgün Sanih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Korkmazcity's goalkeeper Adnan Emekli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sabri Vacip. If İlhan Ayıkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Korkmazcity walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
