Adnan Emekli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuddusî Bağcıoğlu in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rıza Uluç kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving İdris Tandan. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. If Cenk Şavat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eralp Akyıldız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Adnan Emekli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rıza Uluç was the one to do the kick off. Eralp Akyıldız kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Rıza Uluç came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Korkmazcity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rıza Uluç couldn't finish the play.
