After a rather tough play, GÖZTEPE A.Ş's Bedir Arısan got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Akgün Sanih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yetkiner Sertuğ in the 3rd minute of play. Cabbar Kayraalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akgün Sanih having to interfere. The supporters of Bursaspor booed when GÖZTEPE A.Ş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedir Arısan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cabbar Kayraalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Akgün Sanih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cahit Akay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Akgün Sanih having to make a save. Bursaspor's Yetkiner Sertuğ got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Bursaspor's goalkeeper Abay Şinas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İlhan Ayıkoğlu. Cabbar Kayraalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cabbar Kayraalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Akgün Sanih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Numan Garipbaş came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bursaspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Numan Garipbaş couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in GÖZTEPE A.Ş's zone, Cahit Akay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akgün Sanih came out of the goal and Cahit Akay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cahit Akay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the GÖZTEPE A.Ş defense, Yetkiner Sertuğ kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Akgün Sanih. The GÖZTEPE A.Ş fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Akgün Sanih should have stopped the shot. Numan Garipbaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GÖZTEPE A.Ş's Akgün Sanih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Numan Garipbaş in the 29th minute of play. Bursaspor's Cahit Akay got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yetkiner Sertuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Yetkiner Sertuğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akgün Sanih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Cahit Akay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Cahit Akay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akgün Sanih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bedir Arısan was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bedir Arısan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cahit Akay sped through GÖZTEPE A.Ş's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Akgün Sanih. In the 45th minute, Adil Ak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akgün Sanih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Numan Garipbaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cahit Akay came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Bursaspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cahit Akay couldn't finish the play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cahit Akay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cabbar Kayraalp came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Bursaspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cabbar Kayraalp couldn't finish the play. Akgün Sanih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cahit Akay in the 59th minute of the match. GÖZTEPE A.Ş's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Numan Garipbaş scored to the left of an out of position Akgün Sanih, making the score, 0-3. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GÖZTEPE A.Ş! The goalkeeper, Akgün Sanih, was totally fooled by Bursaspor's Arif Ensar Aktaşlıoğlu, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With his leg Akgün Sanih managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Bursaspor's Cahit Akay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yetkiner Sertuğ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, GÖZTEPE A.Ş's Akgün Sanih got control of the ball when Yetkiner Sertuğ tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cahit Akay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Cahit Akay notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of GÖZTEPE A.Ş's Akgün Sanih. Akgün Sanih was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute of the match, Cahit Akay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Akgün Sanih was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Numan Garipbaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabri Vacip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Abay Şinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Bursaspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GÖZTEPE A.Ş throughout the match.
