Ceyhan Yenay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şevket Hünkar having to interfere. Doruk İltekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nurtekin Özbek in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Hüsmen Elçioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kayserispor FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hüsmen Elçioğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şevket Hünkar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nurtekin Özbek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doruk İltekin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Ceyhan Yenay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Kayserispor FK got a freekick which was hit by Hüsmen Elçioğlu. İlker Yeğiner, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Mümin Reyyan came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Kayserispor FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mümin Reyyan couldn't finish the play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ege Sancaktar was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Mahrez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semih Sayraç to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Mümin Reyyan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Şevket Hünkar, 1-1. The goalkeeper, Şevket Hünkar, was totally fooled by Kayserispor FK's Mahir Kayıboylu, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Despite being the better team, Kayserispor FK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
