In the 4th minute, Mesut Taşer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rıza Uluç got free with Abay Şinas in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adnan Emekli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cahit Akay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Ardahan Semdin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Korkmazcity and the Bursaspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adnan Emekli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Korkmazcity's Adnan Emekli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cahit Akay in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cahit Akay in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adnan Emekli saved Korkmazcity from getting behind. Cabbar Kayraalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Adnan Emekli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Suat Ongunsu fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korkmazcity's protests and gave Suat Ongunsu a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Cabbar Kayraalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Cabbar Kayraalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adnan Emekli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Numan Garipbaş in the 46th minute of play forced Korkmazcity's goalkeeper Adnan Emekli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Neşat Barbaros made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Rıza Uluç put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abay Şinas. Adnan Emekli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Numan Garipbaş in the 59th minute of the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Korkmazcity's goalkeeper Adnan Emekli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abdurrahman Abanoz charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdurrahman Abanoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abay Şinas went to the wrong direction when Tayyar Göktürk was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 76th match minute, Bursaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Ensar Aktaşlıoğlu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Korkmazcity booed when Bursaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cabbar Kayraalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Korkmazcity getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ecevit Orbay hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes Bursaspor got a freekick which was hit by Arif Ensar Aktaşlıoğlu. In the 91st minute of the match Nazil Sahir shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abay Şinas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Numan Garipbaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rahim Çoğa was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 96th minute, Rahim Çoğa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Cahit Akay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Cahit Akay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adnan Emekli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Korkmazcity support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
