Istanbul's supporters rose to their feet, but Ömer Oğuzman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cevdet Özsel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Samet Temircan made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Istanbul's Samet Temircan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cevdet Özsel. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. Cevdet Özsel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samet Temircan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 63 minute of play. Dinçer Özdel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Kağan Yükselir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Dinçer Özdel charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 78th minute Samet Temircan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cevdet Özsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Cakcikies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samet Temircan came free, but Cevdet Özsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
