Farende's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taksim the free kick. Selami Serdengeçti hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Taksim's Tayfur Kayhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haldun Serbülend in the 7th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Haldun Serbülend kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tayfur Kayhan. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Sebati Aktaç scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vehdi Sezgi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haldun Serbülend fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayfur Kayhan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Farende's zone, Sebati Aktaç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vehdi Sezgi came out of the goal and Sebati Aktaç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Haldun Serbülend shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayfur Kayhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Taksim's Tayfur Kayhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Taksim from getting a goal against them. Haldun Serbülend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tayfur Kayhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes in the game, Haldun Serbülend fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tayfur Kayhan having to interfere. Seçkin Kulan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tayfur Kayhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tayfur Kayhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seçkin Kulan in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aygün Akçam was the one to do the kick off. Tayfur Kayhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haldun Serbülend in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haldun Serbülend in the 59th minute of play forced Taksim's goalkeeper Tayfur Kayhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Haldun Serbülend shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayfur Kayhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebati Aktaç kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Seçkin Kulan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayfur Kayhan having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Taksim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aygün Akçam to maneuver through the defense. Tayfur Kayhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seçkin Kulan in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Seçkin Kulan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Taksim's Tayfur Kayhan. Tayfur Kayhan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 81 played minutes Farende got a freekick which was hit by Atay Baysal. When Murat Ulu came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Taksim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murat Ulu couldn't finish the play. Haldun Serbülend recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Taksim's goal looked a bit too open when Seçkin Kulan came free, but Tayfur Kayhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aygün Akçam fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taksim's protests and gave Aygün Akçam a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taksim getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Aygün Akçam hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Farende fully deserved thier win.
