To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yüce Özgiray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şansal Akdurmuş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amed spor's Umut Akyüz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yüce Özgiray in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fethiyespor's Yüce Özgiray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Fethiyespor from getting a goal against them. Rafet Semih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Recai Mürşit having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Abdurrahim Durkaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Recai Mürşit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdurrahim Durkaya was the one to do the kick off. Yüce Özgiray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güven Çırakoğlu in the 91st minute of play. Aytunç Üke struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Recai Mürşit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fethiyespor. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fethiyespor players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
