Tarsus SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Süruri Ömürcan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Volkan Mensur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Şerafettin Başöz went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ertuğrul Savgat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Volkan Mensur. 1 KASIM 1912's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Şerafettin Başöz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Mensur having to interfere. Erkin Otaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muharrem İcabi having to interfere. Arman Onursal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şerafettin Başöz in the 34th minute of play forced 1 KASIM 1912's goalkeeper Volkan Mensur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muharrem İcabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arman Onursal in the 35th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Tarsus SK got a freekick which was hit by Nazil Toran. Bora Han Karataş hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erkin Otaran got free with Muharrem İcabi in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Süruri Ömürcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arman Onursal to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şerafettin Başöz in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Volkan Mensur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tarsus SK's Şerafettin Başöz got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Tarsus SK booed when 1 KASIM 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökalp Volkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Şerafettin Başöz came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Tarsus SK fans jumped to their feet.
