The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sarper Okuyan during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tarsus SK booed when Siverekspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarper Okuyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tarsus SK fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Tarsus SK's Şerafettin Başöz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ahmet Baki İhsan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Süruri Ömürcan in the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Süruri Ömürcan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ahmet Baki İhsan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Süruri Ömürcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Baki İhsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Baki İhsan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Süruri Ömürcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Ediz Baykal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Siverekspor and the Tarsus SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Siverekspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediz Baykal to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarsus SK's goalkeeper Muharrem İcabi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Şerafettin Başöz took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Baki İhsan. Ahmet Baki İhsan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Çağrı Cezar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muharrem İcabi having to interfere. A collision led to Siverekspor getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fetih Nezihi hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Tarsus SK's Süruri Ömürcan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Baki İhsan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 38 minutes into the game, Bora Han Karataş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarsus SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Siverekspor the free kick. After 38 played minutes Tarsus SK got a freekick which was hit by Bora Han Karataş. Ahmet Baki İhsan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şerafettin Başöz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şerafettin Başöz to make the kick off. Çağrı Cezar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute of the match, Şerafettin Başöz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ahmet Baki İhsan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The coaching staff of Siverekspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Güray Kerem had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Siverekspor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tarsus SK:s goal. In the 73rd minute, Süruri Ömürcan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Baki İhsan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şerafettin Başöz in the 81st minute of play forced Siverekspor's goalkeeper Ahmet Baki İhsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Baki İhsan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Süruri Ömürcan in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Bora Han Karataş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Baki İhsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Siverekspor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty!
