Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bora Ongel in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Muzaffer Erendiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bora Ongel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zafer Uğursay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Güralp Tekinay made a huge save. Güralp Tekinay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zafer Uğursay in the 55th minute. Yüksel Hayırlı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muzaffer Erendiz having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Bora Ongel notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tire JK's Muzaffer Erendiz. Muzaffer Erendiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sungurlu's Güralp Tekinay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Sungurlu from getting a goal against them. Sungurlu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
