Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Serter Kutberk got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Sungurlu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bekir Ongu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galatasaray's Serter Kutberk got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute Aktan Er shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güralp Tekinay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serter Kutberk struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Güralp Tekinay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. Serter Kutberk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güralp Tekinay having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sungurlu's Bekir Ongu got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sungurlu's zone, Aktan Er stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güralp Tekinay came out of the goal and Aktan Er tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sungurlu's Güralp Tekinay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serter Kutberk in the 36th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Serter Kutberk put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Güralp Tekinay. Güralp Tekinay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aktan Er in the 47th minute of play. If Serter Kutberk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Serter Kutberk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Güralp Tekinay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Aktan Er fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güralp Tekinay having to interfere. Bora Ongel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Yüksel Hayırlı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cüneyt Tuncalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Sungurlu's Yüksel Hayırlı got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Galatasaray's Aktan Er got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güralp Tekinay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aktan Er in the 76th minute. If Aktan Er had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saip Toktamış's late challenge caught a Sungurlu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saip Toktamış helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Saip Toktamış hit a great ball. Ali Haydar Behram might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Güralp Tekinay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Haydar Behram ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sungurlu getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ahmet Ceyhan Türköne hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sungurlu's Güralp Tekinay got control of the ball when Aktan Er tried to sneak it across the goal line. Galatasaray's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
