Müfit Müfit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Müfit Müfit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdi Hızarcı in the 18th minute of play. When Ferdi Hızarcı came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Beykoz spor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdi Hızarcı couldn't finish the play. Vecdet Sayıl charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vecdet Sayıl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vecdet Sayıl hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ferdi Hızarcı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beykoz spor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdi Hızarcı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Müfit Müfit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ferdi Hızarcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Ferdi Hızarcı put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Müfit Müfit. Atilla Bumin Akpınar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdurrezzak Erkılınç stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Yenikaraağaç booed when Beykoz spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naim Yoruk didn't get a good kick on the ball.
