After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Arif Tugay Kızılateş managed to get in a good position for a shot. FenerBahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Tugay Kızılateş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şansal Okaner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FenerBahçe's zone, Berkant Vahat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bora Üstek came out of the goal and Berkant Vahat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 minutes of play, FenerBahçe's Volkan Sait made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şansal Okaner was left in no man's land by his defense there! FenerBahçe's Bora Üstek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürel Akbaş in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arif Tugay Kızılateş was the one to do the kick off. Berkant Vahat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Üstek having to interfere. Berkant Vahat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bora Üstek having to make a save. Berkant Vahat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berkant Vahat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bora Üstek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Gürel Akbaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 minutes, Ersin Baykoca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FenerBahçe and the Civril JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, one of FenerBahçe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FenerBahçe. In the 66th minute, Civril JK got a penalty, and Hamdi Hüsrev placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The supporters of Civril JK booed when FenerBahçe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arda Ozan Yürük didn't get a good kick on the ball. Süruri Zaik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bora Üstek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Atıf Akkoyun was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bora Üstek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Bora Üstek managed to avoid a goal in the 99thth minute, when Civril JK's Süruri Zaik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
