Karahan Onar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baykal Rukni having to interfere. Babaeski's Baykal Rukni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tunç Ateşoğlu in the 12th minute of play. Baykal Rukni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmie Odén, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Tunç Ateşoğlu let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 15th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. Sadettin Saru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Tolga Cevval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baykal Rukni made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Tunç Ateşoğlu sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Babaeski's zone, Karahan Onar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baykal Rukni came out of the goal and Karahan Onar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 28 in the game by Tunç Ateşoğlu from a close distance when the talented Baykal Rukni managed to make a qualified save. Babaeski's players were relieved. In the 30th match minute, Babaeski was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güvenç Sanal to maneuver through the defense. Baykal Rukni acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jimmie Odén. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Tunç Ateşoğlu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Baykal Rukni made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Volkan Sabi sent off a good shot on target. When Galatasaray SK's Tunç Ateşoğlu in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Babaeski's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute, Tunç Ateşoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aytuğ Koçubey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sungurbey Şerafeddin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sungurbey Şerafeddin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinçer Yazgı to strike the kick off in the second half. Tunç Ateşoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Baykal Rukni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baykal Rukni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tunç Ateşoğlu's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Jimmie Odén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 minutes of play, Galatasaray SK's Jimmie Odén made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baykal Rukni was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinçer Yazgı during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68thth minute of the game Tunç Ateşoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Babaeski's Baykal Rukni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vural Dilsaz struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Baykal Rukni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray SK. In the 71stth minute of the game Tunç Ateşoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Babaeski's Baykal Rukni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vural Dilsaz took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baykal Rukni. Baykal Rukni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sadettin Saru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tunç Ateşoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Galatasaray SK booed when Babaeski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oğuzhan Akgöl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atalay Malkoçoğlu's late challenge caught a Galatasaray SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atalay Malkoçoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Babaeski was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atalay Malkoçoğlu to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galatasaray SK had played much better football throughout.
