The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fırat Kaya to strike the kick off in the second half. When Songurbey Ömür fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored maşatFK's protests and gave Songurbey Ömür a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gaziantep booed when maşatFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Songurbey Ömür didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Tomasz Kon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Turan Cansever blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Yahya İskandil having to make a save. Gaziantep's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
