In the 6th minute, Ali Ömer Uçanay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 7 played minutes Seleucia Pierra got a freekick which was hit by Hurşit Sadik. Seleucia Pierra's Ersin Dönmez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Namık Uluman in the 8th minute of play. Ersin Dönmez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vacid Özerol in the 11th minute of play. Bektaş Veli Kamuran hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. İlker Kayıboylu might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ersin Dönmez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İlker Kayıboylu ran back to his position shaking his head. Barbaros Eroğul made in the 22nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by sirinyer's Bektaş Veli Kamuran. In the 24th minute Altay Gümüş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayrullah Gerdaneri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Ersin Dönmez managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when sirinyer's İlker Kayıboylu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yüce Gündem in the 35th minute of play forced sirinyer's goalkeeper Hayrullah Gerdaneri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Seleucia Pierra's Ersin Dönmez got control of the ball when İlker Kayıboylu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cüneyt Oğuztan to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İlker Kayıboylu in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ersin Dönmez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ersin Dönmez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İlker Kayıboylu's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. İlker Kayıboylu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ersin Dönmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Orhan Baycan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Seleucia Pierra defense, İlker Kayıboylu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ersin Dönmez. The Seleucia Pierra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ersin Dönmez should have stopped the shot. Ali Orhan Baycan's late challenge caught a sirinyer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Orhan Baycan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Seleucia Pierra getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ali Orhan Baycan hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Vacid Özerol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ersin Dönmez was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 78 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when sirinyer's İlker Kayıboylu fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ali Ömer Uçanay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ersin Dönmez having to make a save. Ali Ömer Uçanay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ersin Dönmez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlker Kayıboylu in the 85th minute of play forced Seleucia Pierra's goalkeeper Ersin Dönmez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
