After having played for 23 minutes, Serkan Kerem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALTAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serkan Kerem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ceyhan Ünveren fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Mardin's protests and gave Ceyhan Ünveren a yellow card for diving instead. Ceyhan Ünveren hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to ALTAY getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Arif Gaffar Canel hit a great ball. Mehmet Hamdi Beksan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serkan Kerem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Real Mardin's zone, Beşir Burçak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Hamdi Beksan came out of the goal and Beşir Burçak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehmet Hamdi Beksan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serkan Kerem in the 35th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Cumhur Ulukaan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 48 minutes into the match, Cumhur Ulukaan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Hamdi Beksan. Real Mardin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cumhur Ulukaan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The Real Mardin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ALTAY were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beşir Burçak was the one to do the kick off. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 57th minute, but Mehmet Hamdi Beksan got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Real Mardin hanging dry this time. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hasan Tahsin Tunay during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Serkan Kerem might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Hamdi Beksan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Mardin's goalkeeper Mehmet Hamdi Beksan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
