The referee ignored Yıldırım Spor A.Ş.'s protests and gave Emrah Nesip a yellow card for diving instead. Emrah Nesip hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Yıldırım Spor A.Ş.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Korcan Tunçaslan came free, but Tarkan Taşkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tarkan Taşkan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Korcan Tunçaslan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tarkan Taşkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Tarkan Taşkan came out of the goal and Gökcan Ergümen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gökcan Ergümen came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Safranbolu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökcan Ergümen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ecevit Hazar in the 92nd minute of play forced Safranbolu's goalkeeper Ferman Derem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Ecevit Hazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferman Derem. Safranbolu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ecevit Hazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.
