Vedat Onguner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fehmi Şevket in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Mustafa Barış Koçarslanoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vedat Onguner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Cumra's Bedir Dirayet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vedat Onguner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. batmanspor's Vedat Onguner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedir Dirayet in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, batmanspor's goal looked a bit too open when Fehmi Şevket came free, but Vedat Onguner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vedat Onguner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bedir Dirayet went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Barış Koçarslanoğlu in the 26th minute of play forced batmanspor's goalkeeper Vedat Onguner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vedat Onguner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müfit Bozlak, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Asrın Ökmener hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Eralp Vecihi managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Mehmet Şefik Orbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancar Ankaralı having to interfere. Raşit Berkkan lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for batmanspor! In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Cumra. Asrın Ökmener stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vedat Onguner. 1-4. Vedat Onguner came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Cumra's Sertaç Özkurt. But to his dismay, Sertaç Özkurt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After the first half Cumra were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alaaddin Erben made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sertaç Özkurt in the 54th minute of play forced batmanspor's goalkeeper Vedat Onguner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. batmanspor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bedir Dirayet 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-6. Vedat Onguner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Müfit Bozlak in the 58th minute. Yavuz Sökmen made in the 60th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fehmi Şevket however managed to control. Vedat Onguner was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Müfit Bozlak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Müfit Bozlak really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. batmanspor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Bedir Dirayet scored to the left of an out of position Vedat Onguner, making the score, 1-8. batmanspor's Eralp Vecihi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Yavuz Sökmen in the 72 minute of the game. Vedat Onguner made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Fehmi Şevket sent off a good shot on target. Sancar Ankaralı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eralp Vecihi in the 77th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Yavuz Sökmen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumra's supporters rose to their feet, but Yavuz Sökmen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vedat Onguner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fehmi Şevket got free with Vedat Onguner in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to batmanspor getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Eralp Vecihi hit a great ball. Asrın Ökmener struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Vedat Onguner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cumra. The audience thought a goal was coming when Müfit Bozlak got free with Vedat Onguner in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
