In the 14thth minute of the game Remzi Osmanoğulları who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but fenerbahçe's Bahadırhan Erol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bahadırhan Erol was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mete Dizdar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Karsiyaka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metehan Hanbeyi to maneuver through the defense. If Önder Erserim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Altuğ Tunalı's late challenge caught a Karsiyaka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Günalp Çırağ hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 54 minutes in the game, Önder Erserim dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Mete Dizdar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahadırhan Erol having to interfere. Korkutalp Özoğuz kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of fenerbahçe booed when Karsiyaka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercan Yazgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Altuğ Tunalı. Bahadırhan Erol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Dizdar in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Karsiyaka's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ekber Eryildiz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. fenerbahçe's Bahadırhan Erol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Dizdar in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mete Dizdar in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bahadırhan Erol saved fenerbahçe from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the fenerbahçe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Karsiyaka.
