Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ayvaz Bozlak started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Topkapi's goalkeeper Ataman Geçimoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdulvahit Arısal. Ataman Geçimoğlu made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Abdulvahit Arısal sent off a good shot on target. If Baysal Tuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Şerif Koralp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Refik Halit Mukbil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baysal Tuğ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Topkapi's Ayvaz Bozlak fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baysal Tuğ in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Refik Halit Mukbil saved Gölbasi from getting behind. A collision led to Gölbasi getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Mehmet Halis Ezrak hit a great ball. Baysal Tuğ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Topkapi's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Baykal came free, but Ataman Geçimoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ataman Geçimoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdulvahit Arısal went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 34 minutes, Ayvaz Bozlak made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gölbasi's Refik Halit Mukbil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Baysal Tuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haydar Azer in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Refik Halit Mukbil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Abdi Baykal made the kick off in the second half. When Baysal Tuğ came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Topkapi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baysal Tuğ couldn't finish the play. Refik Halit Mukbil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayvaz Bozlak in the 56th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Haydar Azer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baysal Tuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refik Halit Mukbil having to interfere. Mehmet Halis Ezrak's late challenge caught a Topkapi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Halis Ezrak helped the player get up and apologised. Ayvaz Bozlak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 76 minutes, Şerif Koralp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gölbasi and the Topkapi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Gölbasi got a freekick which was hit by Şerif Koralp. In the 77th minute of the match Yüksel Koytan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Refik Halit Mukbil skillfully saved the ball. Refik Halit Mukbil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baysal Tuğ in the 78th minute. The supporters of Topkapi booed when Gölbasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Halis Ezrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Sufi Akçakoca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ayvaz Bozlak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Topkapi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ayvaz Bozlak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Refik Halit Mukbil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gölbasi getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mehmet Halis Ezrak hit a great ball. A hard shot by Yüksel Koytan from long distance, 96 minutes into the match, got Refik Halit Mukbil's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Topkapi's Ayvaz Bozlak got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
