Birol Akbaş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yaşar Nuri Tonguç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ersan Berat having to interfere. Ersan Berat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hürkan Talut in the 41st minute of play. Yıldız CLUB's Yaşar Nuri Tonguç suffered a concussion in the 43rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 43 minutes, Semi Ocakçı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the galatasarays and the Yıldız CLUB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in galatasarays fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Birol Akbaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abayhan Altunhan having to interfere. If Hürkan Talut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Yıldız CLUB booed when galatasarays was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güngör Saim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ersan Berat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hürkan Talut, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. galatasarays's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hürkan Talut 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 76th minute, Ahmet Arif Köklem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hürkan Talut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ersan Berat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes of play galatasarays's Güngör Saim was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 82nd minute, Güngör Saim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hürkan Talut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ersan Berat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necati Bican in the 97th minute of play forced Yıldız CLUB's goalkeeper Abayhan Altunhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of galatasarays booed when Yıldız CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Arif Köklem didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yıldız CLUB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
