Ataman Tacim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cemil Yaltır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İlhan Siralp, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Nusrettin Umay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Han Sadreddin having to interfere. Kutay Serhad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Fahrettin Kelim rounded Gerger's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, İlhan Siralp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerger's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlhan Siralp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, İlhan Siralp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cemil Yaltır was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when İlhan Siralp came free, but Cemil Yaltır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nusrettin Umay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bora Han Sadreddin was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Fahrettin Kelim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bora Han Sadreddin came out and tried to block the shot, but Fahrettin Kelim slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 35th minute. The Gerger fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Gerger's İlhan Siralp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 43rd match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutay Serhad to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 57th minute, Kutay Serhad made a precise shot to the right of Bora Han Sadreddin. Gerger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Fahrettin Kelim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fahrettin Kelim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Fahrettin Kelim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bora Han Sadreddin. Gerger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fahrettin Kelim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Kutay Serhad got a free kick in the 73rd minute. İlhan Siralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cemil Yaltır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İlhan Siralp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cemil Yaltır read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Nusrettin Umay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bora Han Sadreddin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nusrettin Umay came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Trabzonspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nusrettin Umay couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Gerger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fahrettin Özakan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Kutay Serhad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Han Sadreddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bora Han Sadreddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fahrettin Kelim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fahrettin Özakan hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Bora Han Sadreddin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nusrettin Umay in the 95th minute of the match. Trabzonspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
