The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Anafartalar. Cesur Tozan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aybek Şahbazoğlu. 0-1. Doruk Baltaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Aybek Şahbazoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Hamza Bağcı was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Yusuf Ziya Oğuzkan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzkan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ali Hamza Bağcı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Ziya Oğuzkan in the 20th minute of play. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aybek Şahbazoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doruk Baltaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Tahtalıspor's Yusuf Ziya Oğuzkan got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şerafettin Serdinç in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aybek Şahbazoğlu saved Tahtalıspor from getting behind. Tahtalıspor's Aybek Şahbazoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cankut Şahan in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Tahtalıspor's goal looked a bit too open when Doruk Baltaş came free, but Aybek Şahbazoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Tahtalıspor's Aybek Şahbazoğlu got control of the ball when Doruk Baltaş tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Şerafettin Serdinç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tahtalıspor's Aybek Şahbazoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Şerafettin Serdinç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anafartalar's supporters rose to their feet, but Şerafettin Serdinç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aybek Şahbazoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Halis Vechi kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zeynel Çolak fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tahtalıspor's protests and gave Zeynel Çolak a yellow card for diving instead. The Tahtalıspor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Anafartalar were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
