In the 23rd minute, YOZGATSPOR 1959's Çağatay Uçbay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hakkı Deniz Özkok. Hakkı Deniz Özkok yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Hakkı Deniz Özkok didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceyhun Açıkalın went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Ceyhun Açıkalın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Çağatay Uçbay fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceyhun Açıkalın in the 53rd minute of play forced Izmir's goalkeeper Hakkı Deniz Özkok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ceyhun Açıkalın came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the YOZGATSPOR 1959 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceyhun Açıkalın couldn't finish the play. Hakkı Deniz Özkok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceyhun Açıkalın, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. YOZGATSPOR 1959's Çağatay Uçbay got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Mehmet Şefik Ertüze successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mehmet Şefik Ertüze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nejat Gökyüzü in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. YOZGATSPOR 1959 fully deserved thier win.
