Ediz Özyuva's late challenge caught a Izmir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediz Özyuva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Ordu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediz Özyuva to maneuver through the defense. Arda Memduh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th match minute, Ordu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galip Akkanoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Izmir's Samet Çelikhan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ordu. Alparslan Hikmettin kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Ordu getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Abdi Saygın Evirgen hit a great ball. Mahir Altunç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ordu's Eralp Bozdoğan in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Izmir's goalie prevented a goal. Hakkı Deniz Özkok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahir Altunç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enes Tekinel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Başaran Kutel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Samet Çelikhan managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Nejat Gökyüzü was the one to do the kick off. Hakkı Deniz Özkok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eralp Bozdoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Arda Memduh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Başaran Kutel having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ordu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
