Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ender Bera ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute, Mustafa Anıl Umuralp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes, Rize's Orhun Cansoy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aziz Öktuğ came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rize reached it. After having played for 8 minutes, Umut Demirtuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umut Demirtuğ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Umut Demirtuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hami Arıcan hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes, Rize's Orhun Cansoy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aziz Öktuğ came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters rose to their feet, but Umut Demirtuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umut Demirtuğ, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ender Bera in the 21st minute of play forced BEŞİKTAŞ's goalkeeper Aziz Öktuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Anıl Umuralp's late challenge caught a Rize's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umut Demirtuğ made a kick off. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BEŞİKTAŞ! When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Rize's Orhun Cansoy got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aziz Öktuğ. Ender Bera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ender Bera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Rize getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Talha Mahmut hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umut Demirtuğ to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Rize's goal looked a bit too open when İlmi Ünalan came free, but Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in BEŞİKTAŞ's zone, Cevahir Çağar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aziz Öktuğ came out of the goal and Cevahir Çağar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Umut Demirtuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When BEŞİKTAŞ's İlmi Ünalan in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rize's goalie prevented a goal. Rize's Cevahir Çağar got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Nasir Toprak to maneuver through the defense. Rize played a much better game than BEŞİKTAŞ and deserved their victory. The BEŞİKTAŞ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
