The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bahattin İlbaşı showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anadolu Gücü's Bahattin İlbaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgür Hadi in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Anadolu Gücü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahir İsiman to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Özgür Hadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Avni Pertev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsun SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Avni Pertev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahattin İlbaşı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Anadolu Gücü's Bahattin İlbaşı got control of the ball when Özgür Hadi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Özgür Hadi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anadolu Gücü's Bahattin İlbaşı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Anadolu Gücü's Süleyman Özbilgin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Batıray Özgener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yetkiner Tublek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Işıkalp Tokyüz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yetkiner Tublek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yetkiner Tublek made a kick off. Bahattin İlbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Hadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avni Pertev struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Bahattin İlbaşı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsun SK. Anadolu Gücü's Yetkiner Tublek got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
