Halim Özyurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Savaşer Kerimhan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franek Brama. EMİREFE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Savaşer Kerimhan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 52 minutes, Güney Saban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EMİREFE FC and the GALATASARAY players grew even worse after the yellow card. EMİREFE FC's Mattias Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Atilla Kağan Aktaşoğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Halim Özyurt. That made the score 3-1 in the 60 minute of play. Franek Brama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baki Sebati in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Mattias Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hayri Bakkalbaşıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baki Sebati charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baki Sebati the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of EMİREFE FC booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baki Sebati didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilla Kağan Aktaşoğlu during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, EMİREFE FC's Atilla Kağan Aktaşoğlu got a free kick in the 75th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Güney Saban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EMİREFE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Güney Saban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hayri Bakkalbaşıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halim Özyurt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes EMİREFE FC got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Sundström. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Mattias Sundström managed to get in a good position for a shot. EMİREFE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Sundström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halim Özyurt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the game, Gürcan Uğurtay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Franek Brama was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. EMİREFE FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
