After a defensive mix-up in FOOTBALL TIME's zone, Mehmet Bedri Çetinsoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Oğuz Polatkan came out of the goal and Mehmet Bedri Çetinsoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Abay Seferoğlulları hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Ahmet Haşim İpekçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necdet Balatürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FOOTBALL TIME's Ahmet Oğuz Polatkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Edip Devlet in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüseyin Can Cemşit in the 15th minute of play forced Gömer SK's goalkeeper Necdet Balatürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Necdet Balatürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kılıçalp Tümcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Gömer SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Haşim İpekçi came free, but Necdet Balatürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necdet Balatürk came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by FOOTBALL TIME's Kılıçalp Tümcan. But to his dismay, Kılıçalp Tümcan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 34th minute, Gömer SK's Hüseyin Can Kuman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hüseyin Can Kuman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gömer SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hüseyin Can Kuman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of FOOTBALL TIME booed when Gömer SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüseyin Can Kuman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gömer SK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ferhan Ersavaş hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gömer SK's Ferhan Ersavaş got a free kick in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the game, FOOTBALL TIME's Ünsal Tezeren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Necdet Balatürk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abay Seferoğlulları was the one to do the kick off. Abay Seferoğlulları received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ahmet Oğuz Polatkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Gömer SK's Necdet Balatürk got control of the ball when Ünsal Tezeren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Hüseyin Can Cemşit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necdet Balatürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abay Seferoğlulları had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gömer SK getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ferhan Ersavaş hit a great ball. A hard shot by Cafer Çağlar from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Necdet Balatürk's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ali Galip Talut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Oğuz Polatkan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abay Seferoğlulları in the 82nd minute of play forced FOOTBALL TIME's goalkeeper Ahmet Oğuz Polatkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Gömer SK defense, Ünsal Tezeren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Necdet Balatürk. The Gömer SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Necdet Balatürk should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Gömer SK's Necdet Balatürk got control of the ball when Ünsal Tezeren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Necdet Balatürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Can Cemşit in the 98th minute of play.
