After 4 minutes of play, PAYİTAHT SK's Aybek Sarper made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Necati Geylanoğullarından was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mahsun Ünal charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mahsun Ünal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Mahsun Ünal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mustafa Hamit Doğay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lütfullah Kotuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Denizhan Hazarbeyoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necati Geylanoğullarından saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aybek Sarper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denizhan Hazarbeyoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necati Geylanoğullarından having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Karsiyaka's zone, Aybek Sarper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Necati Geylanoğullarından came out of the goal and Aybek Sarper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gürel Canver hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Sergen Gençyaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Necati Geylanoğullarından having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of PAYİTAHT SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Karsiyaka:s goal. The goalkeeper, Mustafa Hamit Doğay, was totally fooled by Karsiyaka's Muhittin Düden, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of PAYİTAHT SK booed when Karsiyaka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürel Canver didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Aybek Sarper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Necati Geylanoğullarından tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Hamit Doğay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Güralp Işınbay went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Lütfullah Kotuz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hamit Doğay having to interfere. Sergen Gençyaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denizhan Hazarbeyoğlu got free with Necati Geylanoğullarından in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aybek Sarper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Hamit Doğay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güralp Işınbay in the 88th minute of play. When Sergen Gençyaz fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PAYİTAHT SK's protests and gave Sergen Gençyaz a yellow card for diving instead. Sergen Gençyaz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Karsiyaka fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Karsiyaka's Lütfullah Kotuz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in PAYİTAHT SK's zone, Lütfullah Kotuz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Hamit Doğay came out of the goal and Lütfullah Kotuz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Karsiyaka were victorious despite being under pressure from PAYİTAHT SK for much of the match.
