In the 7th minute, Baykan Balkanlı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sinop's Seyhun Ulusoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamer Sıraç in the 11th minute of play. Işıkalp Pekdeger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fethi Akbudun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kemalettin Totuk hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Baykan Balkanlı took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fethi Akbudun. Fethi Akbudun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Metehan Argun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Seyhun Ulusoy made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Işıkalp Pekdeger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sinop's supporters rose to their feet, but Işıkalp Pekdeger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fethi Akbudun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Işıkalp Pekdeger made a precise shot to the right of Fethi Akbudun. Bitlis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Seyhun Ulusoy made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Metehan Argun sent off a good shot on target. Şeref Yazganalp kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Şahin Sanal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fethi Akbudun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baykan Balkanlı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fethi Akbudun having to interfere. Fethi Akbudun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Işıkalp Pekdeger in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Bitlis's goal looked a bit too open when Şahin Sanal came free, but Fethi Akbudun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seyhun Ulusoy came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bitlis's Atay Özinal. But to his dismay, Atay Özinal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baykan Balkanlı in the 46th minute of play forced Bitlis's goalkeeper Fethi Akbudun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Gürbüz Başok mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bitlis and the Sinop players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gürbüz Başok hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Baykan Balkanlı who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Fethi Akbudun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Bitlis's zone, Şahin Sanal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fethi Akbudun came out of the goal and Şahin Sanal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Sinop's goal looked a bit too open when Tamer Sıraç came free, but Seyhun Ulusoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Atay Özinal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Seyhun Ulusoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sinop's Seyhun Ulusoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metehan Argun in the 79th minute of play. With 81 minutes on the clock, Nadir Dirayet commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Cihangir Yağızer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Seyhun Ulusoy. Sinop's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Seyhun Ulusoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tamer Sıraç in the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Işıkalp Pekdeger dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fethi Akbudun, 2-5. After a rather tough play, Sinop's Osman Ali Talip got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Işıkalp Pekdeger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
