Şeref Yazganalp scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demirhan Mansız, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeref Yazganalp in the 17th minute of play forced MARATON's goalkeeper Demirhan Mansız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demirhan Mansız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Işıkalp Pekdeger in the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the MARATON defense, Şeref Yazganalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demirhan Mansız. The MARATON fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demirhan Mansız should have stopped the shot. Seyhun Ulusoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necati Budak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şeref Yazganalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demirhan Mansız having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

58 minutes into the match, Işıkalp Pekdeger dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Demirhan Mansız, 0-6. Şahin Sanal succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. Demirhan Mansız made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baykan Balkanlı in the 65th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Işıkalp Pekdeger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demirhan Mansız. Işıkalp Pekdeger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Sinop's Şeref Yazganalp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Demirhan Mansız. That made the score 0-10 after 86 minutes of play. Demirhan Mansız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Işıkalp Pekdeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Sinop's Baykan Balkanlı made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demirhan Mansız was left in no man's land by his defense there! Şahin Sanal hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Demirhan Mansız didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baykan Balkanlı went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Sinop left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MARATON.
