Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5462, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Bitlis's Fethi Akbudun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nihat Kahveci in the 4th minute of play. After 4 played minutes Bitlis got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Tugal. 程鹰国 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Sıraç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Hakkı Onur Ceri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fethi Akbudun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fethi Akbudun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veysel Yoruç in the 17th minute of play. Fethi Akbudun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derman Balta in the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Reese Green had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fethi Akbudun. Bitlis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reese Green was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Hakkı Onur Ceri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Fethi Akbudun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trabzonspor made a substitution. Lemi Akman replaced Berker Okdağ. In the 32nd minute, Hakkı Onur Ceri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trabzonspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Fethi Akbudun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derman Balta, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Veysel Yoruç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veysel Yoruç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nihat Kahveci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Bitlis's Gürbüz Başok got a free kick in the 45th minute. Hakkı Onur Ceri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fethi Akbudun having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nihat Kahveci was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Bitlis's Fethi Akbudun got control of the ball when Hakkı Onur Ceri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hasan Tugal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Veysel Yoruç fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fethi Akbudun, passed just outside the right post. Fethi Akbudun came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor's Reese Green. But to his dismay, Reese Green quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Bitlis's zone, Veysel Yoruç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fethi Akbudun came out of the goal and Veysel Yoruç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Güner Özçevik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 程鹰国 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Sıraç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trabzonspor's Arslan İmge was substituted for Güner Özçevik. 83 minutes into the game, one of Trabzonspor:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nihat Kahveci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Fethi Akbudun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arslan İmge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute, Hakkı Onur Ceri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trabzonspor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
